Adelaide, South Australia 2/4/2010-4/4/2010
After a fantastic breakfast pizza at the beach (brighton?) we sett of to the adventure playground at St. Kilda. Complete with flying foxes slides, and most importantly a pirate ship! We enjoyed the equipment but some of the parents mocked our youthful enthusiasm with comments like "I wonder who the children are?", so we set off for the more adult pleasures of the barrossa. Switching the car for a helicopter at lydoch, a low flight across the vineyard later we spied a nice spot for lunch. The Grant Burge Winery and the jacobs estate both did much to quench our thirst uhm for adventure.
Victoria
we settled in mildura for a comfortable sleep in a motel. mildura was in the grips of a speedboat festival so there were were boats a plenty. The friendly locals were a contrast to the ever present new south welsh police - who pulled us over for checking out hay (the drug trafficking capital as it turns out) and then again in wagga wagga, this time for speeding, fair cop, $200 thanks for visiting Wagga.
Canberra
A stay in Canberra saw the attractions of Canberra (ie museums and fishwick) did some shopping and ate the local wild life (crocodile, emu, kangaroos, wombat? ) and a few of the local beers. Later that night during a drunken phone call i mostly remembered it was decided to go to Sydney to pick up an extra passages.
